NAKURA’S JAUNDICED POSTULATION ON PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION IN ADAMAWA-

News

The distribution of palliative commodities has barely commenced and the government of Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has set up a committee of eminent citizens to oversee equitable distribution to ensure his much propagated maxim that nobody “is left behind, and nothing is left untouched.” In spite of the fact that royal fathers, security chiefs, civil societies’ representative, religious organizations and Labor leaders etc are all engaged to superintend the distribution to be carried out by grassroots politicians(councillors), people well known to the local people, some idle minds are engaged in finding faults as a means of garnering cheap popularity.

This paper kite will not fly as high as they plan. Their ploy to cause trouble by creating anxiety and mistrust like several others in the past will undoubtedly fail. Therefore there is need to appraise the shenanigans of mercenary writers that now abound.
Surely something is wrong with the write-up expressing dissatisfaction by the notoriously well known critic of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Gambo Nakura is in his elements of shouting “wolf” where there is none. He has jumped the gun by shouting foul before the distribution has even come to an end. This is not surprising given the fact that his jaundiced mindset is only disposed towards negative things, and quite often selfish thoughts. It is still fresh in the minds of ardent followers of Adamawa politics of how Nakura expressed anger when he claimed that all that Finitri gave him on assuming office was only two hundred thousand Naira. For whatever service ,he did not explain. Neither did he say whether he returned the said amount ,nor explain what he used it for. It is such a person :selfish in nature that now wants to claim to be the people’s advocate.

At his disposal is a “reporter” that could not make contact with the Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou on a face to face basis or by phone. All this is crass lies. If there is such a reporter, which medium does he represent? Or is their reporter implying that the Chief Press Secretary does not sit at his desk? Is it possible that in such a position he has the luxury of not picking calls? This is not possible. If they are desperate enough to create lies, they’d better find fertile grounds with the gullible rabble that they have often been able to manipulate.Adamawa citizens are not all foolish enough to fall for such falsehood.

The faceless writer has tried to do his master service but has failed to convince all that have witnessed the flag off that there was any partisanship in the distribution. For the clearance of all doubts, no councillor residing in any ward can risk his chances with his “next door ” neighbors by openly denying them the commodities. The author of this questionable article are either ignorant of the realities on ground or ignorant of the fact that councillors are the closest elected officers that the local populace sees everyday and can directly communicate anytime. If such officers cannot be trusted by their people, if they can do such harm in their immediate communities, it cannot be made a secret.

In any case, the governor has passed over the task to the closest representatives of the people. As we all know, local communities have access to their councillors, they know them by name and live in their midst. Who else can endure equity to the local populace more than them?
