THE ADAMAWA GOVERNMENT PROPOSES A BUDGET OF N225.8 BILLION FOR 2024.

A proposed budget of N225.8 billion for the fiscal year 2024 was approved by the Adamawa State Executive Council on Wednesday. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri chaired the council meeting at which the expense labeled “Budget of Reengineering” was approved. This information was made public following the meeting in the Council Chambers of Government House, Yola, by State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Neido Tanyishi Geoffrey Kofulto. Based on the requirements of the people, the government created the budget, according to Mrs. Geoffrey Kafulto. According to the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Emmanuel Piridimso, who contributed N111.3 billion, or 49.3% of the total, is designated for ongoing services, while N114.5 billion, or 50.7%, is meant for capital expenses. The Commissioner states that the proposed budget is prepared to be considered and approved by the state House of Assembly this Friday.
