The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta on Tuesday 16th January 2024, inspected the ongoing projects of the Male/Female Surgical ward, Paediatric ward, Theatre complex, Laboratory, Staff Quarter, Association Center, Children’s ward, and Mortuary building at the Mayo-belwa General Hospital. Also, the deputy governor who was similarly satisfied by the pace of work on projects, asked the contractors to sit up and fulfill the terms of their contracts. According to her, the government is challenged by the lack of secondary healthcare facilities in the area and the massive support their administration has been enjoying from the good and peace-loving people of the Mayo-below local government area. In his remarks, the executive chairman of Mayo-belwa Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Muhammadu Usman Buji thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for his concern and the welfare to the people of Mayo-belwa and commended him on improved security in the area. He appealed to stakeholders in the Mayo-below local government area to unite and rally around the Governor whom he described as a man with passion for the development of the area and Adamawa as a whole. The contractor Engr. Abdulrazak Musa assured Farauta that the work would be completed very soon in sha Allah.
