A state-wide coordination meeting of all NGOs, donor/development partners, jointly organized by the Ministry of RRR, State Planning Commission, World Bank coordination office, and ADSEMA, took place today, February 13th, 2024, at the conference hall of ADSUBEB, Yola.
In his opening remark, the Hon. Commissioner RRR, who was also the chairman of the occasion, reiterated that Adamawa State is poised to ensure that the activities carried out by development partners in the state are to the utmost benefit of the citizens in an exclusive environment of safety both for the partners and the benefiting communities. In that regard, he urged all partners to abide by the principles and policies of engagement at their disposal through the proper channel in doing their assignments.
Goodwill messages stemmed from the Executive Chairman of ASPC, the Coordinator/SA World Bank office, NEMA, NANGO, and UNOCHA. All emphasize unity of purpose and the achievement of results that will ultimately impact the safety and livelihood of Adamawa citizens.
The meeting had over 200 participants, comprising development partners, implementing partners, NGOs, and donor partners.
The main highlight and event were the technical sessions coordinated by the PS ASPC, which lasted for the rest of the day where activities were reviewed, updates on organizations were carried out, and questions and answer sessions were conducted for charities.
However, during the event, the Executive Chairman of ASPC was presented with an award of honor by Save the Children Nigeria. The decision by Save the Children Nigeria to honor the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission underscores the organization’s acknowledgment of her exemplary leadership and dedication, through innovative initiatives and collaborative efforts. The Executive Chairman has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to improving and promoting the activities of donor partners in the state.
