Today, (Monday, March 18, 2024), the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, in collaboration with the Adamawa State Planning Commission, played a significant role in the signing of a 2 year USD 4.4 million grant from the Japanese government (through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, JICA). The project titled, “Strengthening basic health care service delivery for internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnees, & host communities”, will reconstruct/renovate PHC facilities, provide equipment & needed infrastructure, train health workers to provide skilled health care services, and improve community action in health and peacebuilding across eight (8) implementing LGAs. Speaking at the events, the Executive Chairman of PHCDA thanked the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his foresight, purposeful leadership, and creating the enabling environment for an effective partnership that mobilizes needed resources for Adamawa State.
