A series of highlly innovative creations have become hallmarks of the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri government of the last five years.
With fast changing panorama of aesthetic beauty of the flyovers and the corresponding utility of the facilities there is no doubt that the last five years has afforded the state a quantum leap from its rural backward state to a fast developing one in the same league with the best in the country.
The construction projects in Adamawa have continued to puzzle and stupefy the most ardent critics of the government under Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
Four decades ago,a budding Gongola State was seen as a potential fulcrum for sports development. With highly talented sportsmen an women,it was an area of great interest that attracted world renown sportsmen like Lee Evans who believed that his world record of over thirty years can be broken here. With this in mind the idea of building a stadium was conceived. But forty years later only what appears to be a white elephant project can be seen despite several promises to actualise the dream.
However ,we have come to a point where that objective will be realised. The man ,Fintiri matches his words with action. Once he pronounces his intentions,it is a matter of weeks before the government implements it. There is no doubt that a modern stadium will adorn Yola just like other edifices that that have changed the once provincial outskirt of Nigeria in which we live.
Sports,as we all know is a major source of entertainment ,recreation and money generating venture. As the stadium. In this light ,one cannot overlook the the triple benefits that will accrue from this investment.
Without an iota of doubt, this futuristic government has been able to capture the needs of the people our time and the interest of future generations.
