The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved two major projects to improve healthcare and infrastructure in the state.THE ADAMAWA STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL HAS APPROVED TWO MAJOR PROJECT TO IMPROVE HEALTH CARE AND INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE STATE

News

  1. Healthcare Upgrade

The council approved a contract worth ₦431.6 million to install 30KVA hybrid solar systems in six cottage hospitals. This will provide a reliable power source for medical equipment and vaccine storage. The hospitals are located in Shelleng, Guyuk, Demsa, Lamurde, Gombi, and Furore local government areas, with a two-month completion period.

  1. Infrastructure Development

The council also approved a contract worth ₦8.1 billion for the construction of two bridges along the Mubi-Maiduguri federal highway. The project is divided into two lots:

  • Shuwa Bridge: ₦5.6 billion for a 12-span bridge with approach road
  • Hyambula Bridge: ₦2.5 billion for a 4-span bridge with approach road

The project will be completed within six months.
