Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State crowned Dr. Ali Danburam as the Ptil Madagali during a ceremony in Gulak, marking the sixth coronation aimed at strengthening traditional institutions.

Governor Fintiri emphasized the need for emirates and chiefdoms to foster unity and restore dignity. He reflected on the past challenges faced by Madagali, including the Boko Haram insurgency, praising the community’s resilience.

“This coronation reaffirms our commitment to justice and dignity,” he stated, urging support for the newly established Madagali Chiefdom and its ruler. He called for a revival of local industries and tasked Ptil Madagali with uniting the people and prioritizing security.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the royal staff to Dr. Ali Danburam. Former Governor Bala Ngilari and Lamido Adamawa, represented by Wali Adamawa, lauded the governor’s efforts in transforming the state. In his acceptance speech, Dr. Danburam expressed a commitment to selfless leadership and service. The event gathered dignitaries and citizens, celebrating this historic moment.
