Goveor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially presented the Staff of Office to Alhaji Ahmadu Saibaru as the first Emir of Maiha Emirate, marking a historic milestone in the state’s traditional leadership structure. 

Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Governor Fintiri emphasized that the creation of new emirates and chiefdoms, including Maiha, reflects his administration’s commitment to strengthening local governance, preserving cultural heritage, and enhancing security. He called on the new Emir to foster inclusivity, unity, and economic development in the emirate. 

Highlighting Maiha’s vast economic potential, the Governor noted its strategic location for trade, rich agricultural resources, and renowned textile industry.
