The Adamawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving the lives of children and vulnerable groups by signing the 2025-2027 UNICEF Work Plan. The signing ceremony, held on Friday at the Adamawa State Planning Commission, marks a significant milestone in the state’s development agenda.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission, Dr. Mary Paninga, assured that the Commission would ensure proper monitoring and implementation of the work plan for maximum impact. She emphasized that the agreement reflects a historic moment for Adamawa State in advancing child welfare and development.
Dr. Paninga expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for creating an enabling environment that has transformed the lives of children across various sectors.
In her remarks, Dr. Nuzhat Rafique, Chief Field Officer of UNICEF, highlighted the crucial role of the Planning Commission in overseeing the activities of development partners. She congratulated the Adamawa State Government under Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for successfully signing the work plan, noting that it will enhance collaboration and drive positive change for children and communities in the state.
The 2025-2027 UNICEF Work Plan sets out strategic initiatives to support child protection, education, healthcare, and social services, aligning with the state government’s commitment to sustainable development.
