ADAMAWA STATE PLANNING COMMISSION BOOSTS CAPACITY WITH 4-DAY INDUCTION TRAINING.

The Adamawa State Planning Commission has successfully conducted a 4-day in-house induction training for 25 newly transferred staff from the Post Primary Schools Management Board.

The training, which took place from Monday, March 17th to Thursday, March 20th, 2025, aimed to revamp the knowledge base of the newly deployed staff and equip them with the necessary skills to contribute meaningfully to the development of Adamawa State.

The Executive Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Mary Paninga, warmly welcomed the new staff, expressing her fulfillment at addressing the staffing gap in the Commission. She noted that the technical capacity of the new staff would no longer be wasted in misfit assignments, but rather utilized to drive the development of Adamawa State.

The Permanent Secretary delivered a welcome address, congratulating the newly deployed staff and cautioning them to pay close attention to the mandates and objectives of the ASPC.

One of the staff members, speaking on behalf of the 25 deployed staff, expressed their joy at finding their professional footing and praised the leadership of the Planning Commission for their outstanding work in Adamawa State and beyond.

The newly deployed staff, comprising senior staff between GL 10-13 and Economists by profession, pledged to be loyal, hardworking, and dedicated to maintaining the Commission’s reputation as the most viable MDA in Adamawa State.

This induction training marks a significant step in enhancing the capacity of the Adamawa State Planning Commission, aligning with its mandate to advise the State Government on economic matters, development plans, and data management.
