Adamawa state government has organized a two day workshop to review and validate the Adamawa State draft Youth policy . The program being held at the Government House Conference Hall
is supported by the UNFPA and in collaboration with the State Ministry of Youth and the ASPC.
The validation activity was done by the House Committees on Youth and the Finance &Appropriation together with the Technical Committee that worked on the document. In his address, the Hon. Commissioner of Youth represented by the Permanent Secretary acknowledged that this policy document could not have come at a better time than this where all hearts are towards ensuring that the youth of Adamawa’ and beyond are shaped to productivity and safety, seeing what this era has become.
The Executive Chairman of ASPC in her address ably represented by the Permanent Secretary assured the State that the policy will be jealously followed to ensure it’s implementation when passed by the State assembly successfully.
Also in his remark and keynote address, the State Director of UNFPA Dr. Danladi Idrisa applauded Governor FINTIRI for the open door policy accorded Development partners to contribute their quota to the state growth. He assured Adamawa’ State of UNFPA ‘s continued support in several areas in partnership with the State govt.
The 2 days workshop is being attended by the Ministry of Youth & Sports, Women Affairs, ASPC and other partners.
