The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency, Honourable Chief Crowther Seth was born on 15th December 1954 at Lamurde, Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State. He started his educational pursuits at ECWA Primary School Ilorin in present day Kwara State in 1966. On successful completion in 1971, His Excellency proceeded to Government Teachers College Yola in 1972 from where he obtained a Grade II Teachers’ Certificate in 1977.

He started his brief career as Teacher in Numan II Primary School from 1977 to 1979 after which he left for Lagos to become businessman. His sojourn to Lagos marked a turning point in his life as the business flourished.

Having succeeded in business, the urge to impact on his community and the nation at large saw him venture into politics where he became an Electoral Officer under the UNCP in 1997. With the return to civil rule lingering and the formation of political parties before the 1999 handover to civilian Government, His Excellency Crowther Seth contested and won the seat of chairmanship of Lamurde Local Government council.

He meritoriously steered the affairs of the council such that at the expiration of his tenure and his subsequent decamping to the PDP, he was appointed Chairman of the same Local Government Area in 2003, a position he held until 2004 when interim Administrators were appointed pending local government elections.

While serving as an elected Local Government Chairman, he used his free time to pursue further studies at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi from 1999 to 2002 where he obtained both a Diploma and a Higher National Diploma in Business Management.

In 2005, his previous service to the people of Lamurde Local Government Area did not go unnoticed as he was re-elected to head the Local Government once again. He also proved fruitful for the people of the Local Government who witnessed improvements in many aspects of their lives.

On completion of his second term as an elected Local Government Chairman, he was appointed Chairman of Adamawa State Polytechnic Governing Council in 2009 before becoming the Commissioner for the Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs and later Commerce and Industry until 2012.  He was also a member of the Committee on conduct of Wards and Local Government congresses In Adamawa State until the 3rd of January 2013.He was the State Chairman of the PDP State congresses election in 2019.

His Excellency, Chief Crowther Seth is a man of many parts. He is a consummate sportsman that enjoys Table Tennis, Horse-riding, Biking, Swimming, Fishing and Travelling in his spare time. He also takes delight in rearing birds like Ostriches, Geese, Swans and Pigeons.
