Usman Yahaya Diyajo was born at Girei on 4th December 1970. He obtained his first school leaving certificate from Girei 1 Primary School in 1982 and his West African School Certificate from Yelwa Government Secondary School Yola in 1995.
Usman Yahaya Diyajo is a holder of both Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Local Government Administration from Kaduna Polytechnic in 1997 and 2001 respectively.
Usman Diyajo started his working career as Information Assistant with Girei Local Government Area in 2005. He was the Legislative aid to Hon. Sa’ad M.C. Tahir in 2007.
He was at one time member of Transition Committee Girei Local Government, Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Domestic Matters and the Coordinator, National Poverty Eradication Programme Girei Local Government Area.
He is presently the commissioner for Livestock and Aquaculture Development.
