Mr Adamu Yakubu

Director Research Planning & Budgeting

Mr. Adamu Yakubu was born on the 14th December, 1961 at Pela in Hong LGA of Adamawa State. He attended Pela I Primary School from 1968 to 1974, GSS /GMMC Yola from 1974 to 1979, also under went remedials and IJMB from 1979 to 1982 at the college of preliminary studies Yola from where he proceeded to University of Maiduguri to study Economics from 1983 to 1986. He graduated with a BSc in Economics in 1986.

After graduation, he served under the national youth service corps program (NYSC) 1986/87 at St. Lawrence’s grammar school, Ilesha then part of Oyo state.

He was employed as a planning officer II (grade level 08/2) under former ministry of Finance and Economic Development which is now planning commission. Since then, He has served in various capacities from planning officer II to now substantive Director of Research Planning and Budget (GL.17/9).

Mrs. FARIDA BUKAR KIRI

Director Donor Support

Mrs. Farida Bukar Kiri hails from Lamurd, Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State. She attended Waduku Primary School in Lamurde Local Government, Adamawa State, in 1979, and later pursued her secondary education at Government Girls Secondary School Gombi, Adamawa State, graduating in 1984. She subsequently gained admission to the Federal University of Technology Yola, Adamawa State, where she obtained a Diploma in Accountancy in 1988, and then pursued a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the same institution. She has pursued further education, earning an MSC in Environmental Resource Management in 2019. Her professional journey began as a planning officer with the Adamawa State Planning Commission, Yola, where she was posted to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development from 1991 to 2007. Between 2018 and 2019, she was promoted to the rank of Assistant Director in the Commission and posted to the Adamawa State Second Rural Access and Mobility Project (ADRAMP-2), where she served as an Assistant Monitoring and Evaluation Officer from 2015 to 2016, and then as a Social Safeguard Officer from 2017 to 2021. She also worked as a Technician Assistant on Social Safeguard in NG CARES from 2022 to 2023. Throughout her career, she has actively pursued professional development by attending long-term and short-term courses, training workshops, and other similar activities. Currently, she holds the position of Director Donor Support Coordination, a role she assumed in November 2023, and continues to excel in her career.

 

Mallam Dahiru Wakili

Director Admin & Human Resources

Dahiru Wakili, Director Administration and Human resources Department, was born on 5th January, 1965 at Wuro Mallum Sorau District, Maiha Local Government Area of Adamawa State. He attended Wuro Ladde Primary School from 1976 to 1982 for his First School Leaving certificate. Proceed to Teachers Collage Mubi from 1982 to 1986 for Grade II Certificate, gain admission to Federal Collage of Education Yola from 1988 to 1991, to obtain Nigeria Certificate in Education. Further gain admission in Ahmadu Bello University Zaria (ABU) from 1994 to 1996 for a Bachelor Degree in Education Social Studies. Appointed as Master Grade III GL.07 on 31 December. 1991 in Post Primary School Management Board. Reported for duty on 9th January, 1992 at GDSS Sorau as a Teacher. Held various positions in Teaching profession rose rank of a Principal. Later, applied for conversion from Education profession to Administration Cadre from 14th July, 2014 and was posted as Director Administration in the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology until November when he was then posted to Ministry of Environment from November 2018 to August, 2020. Presently posted to Adamawa State Planning commission from August, 2020 to date. Married and was blessed with six children’s.

Mr. Hassan Dedan

Director Service Delivery & Improvement

Mr. Hassan Dedan was born on October 3, 1971, and is from Lamurde, Lamurde LGA, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He started his Primary School in Toungo, Primary School, Yola in 1978 to 1984, Teachers College, 1984 to 1989 and Certificate in Accounts and Audit from Federal Polytechnic, Mubi from 1994, Federal University of Technology, Yola. Diploma in Public Administration, 2003–2004; Certificate in Computer Science from Prestige, 2007; and B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics.

He started his civil service career with the Post Primary Schools Management Board as an Account Assistant in 1991, where he worked in several secondary schools and rose to the rank of Assistant Director Account (PPSMB) (GL 15). He transferred his service to the Adamawa State Planning Commission in 2019 as Assistant Director Planning (GL 15) and rose through the ranks of the Acting Director Service Delivery Improvement Department in 2023.

He served on various important state development plans and other committees, among which are the PMO NLTP Adamawa State Project Management Office National Livestock Transformation Plan. Member Corporate plan Technical Working Group CP-TWG coordinating Restructuring (ASPC) Adamawa State Planning Commission, Project Manager (PM) SDG’s Sustainable Development Goals Adamawa State. Head of Technical Committee UNICEF (SitAn) Situation Analysis of Children and Women Who Are Vulnerable in Adamawa State.

He attended several trainings and workshops on planning and development and emergency issues and matters. He is a member of several organizations and associations. He is married and blessed with three children. He likes reading and listening to music.

Mrs. Drambi Cromwell

Director Finance & Account

Drambi Cromwell was born on June 14, 1972, in Michika Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

She attended Michika Central Primary School from 1981–1986, where she obtained FSLC. She later proceeded to Government Secondary School, Michika, where she obtained WAEC from 1986–1991. She transits to the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, and obtained a certificate in accounting and audit in 1993. She furthered her education at the federal polytechnic in Mubi, where she obtained a national diploma in accounting from 2007–2010. She obtained a B.Sc. in Accounting from Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola in the years 2014–2018.

She started working with the Adamawa State Government as a clerical assistant in 1993 and rose to the rank of director.
