KWARA STATE DELEGATION PAYS STRATEGIC VISITS TO ADAMAWA MINISTRY OF WOMEN AFFAIRS, ASPHCDA AND MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND HUMAN RESOURCES

A delegation from Kwara State has paid a strategic visit to key government institutions in Adamawa State as part of efforts aimed at strengthening inter-state collaboration, governance, and healthcare service delivery.

The delegation first visited the Ministry of Women Affairs Adamawa State, where they were warmly received by the Permanent Secretary on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner. During the visit, discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in women empowerment, social development programmes, and initiatives targeted at improving the wellbeing of women, children, and vulnerable groups.

The delegation also paid a visit to the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency in Yola, where they were received by the Executive Chairman of the Agency. The Chairman conducted the delegation round various sections of the facility, including the Agency’s Situation Room, where they were briefed on health monitoring systems, data management processes, and emergency response coordination mechanisms being implemented to strengthen primary healthcare services across the state.

Speaking during the tour, the Executive Chairman emphasized the agency’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery through innovation, coordination, and evidence-based decision-making, particularly in maternal, newborn, and child health services.

The delegation further visited the Adamawa State Ministry of Health, where they were received by the Permanent Secretary, who also serves as the Acting Commissioner of the Ministry.

In his remarks, the Acting Commissioner described the visit as significant and timely, noting that it would further strengthen the existing relationship between Adamawa State and Kwara State. He added that such engagements are essential in promoting the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative approaches toward improving healthcare services and public sector administration.

The Kwara delegation expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the institutions for their dedication to quality service delivery, particularly in the health sector. They noted that the visit provided valuable insights that would contribute positively to healthcare development and institutional collaboration in their state.

The strategic visit highlighted the importance of inter-state partnerships in advancing sustainable healthcare systems, effective governance, and improved social services for citizens across Nigeria.
