The Nigerian Youth Council (NYC) has honoured the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission, Dr. Mary Paninga, with an award in recognition of her outstanding leadership, commitment to public service, and contributions to the development of Adamawa State.
The award was presented during a courtesy visit by the leadership of the Council, where the National President described Dr. Paninga as an exceptional administrator, planner, and development expert whose dedication to effective planning and policy coordination has strengthened governance and sustainable development in the state.
According to the Council, under Dr. Paninga’s leadership, the Adamawa State Planning Commission has enhanced development planning, improved coordination of government programmes, deepened collaboration with development partners, and promoted evidence-based policies that support sustainable socio-economic development.
The National President noted that the recognition aligns with the Council’s commitment to promoting responsible leadership, patriotism, peacebuilding, good governance, and youth participation in national development. He emphasized that honouring dedicated public servants inspires excellence and encourages future generations to embrace selfless service.
The Council further commended Dr. Paninga for her transparency, accountability, innovation, and commitment to quality service delivery, stating that these qualities have earned her admiration from government institutions, development partners, and the people of Adamawa State.
Presenting the award, the Council affirmed that Dr. Paninga was unanimously selected as a deserving recipient in recognition of her integrity, diligence, and unwavering commitment to advancing development planning and good governance.
In her honour, the Nigerian Youth Council prayed for God to grant Dr. Paninga greater wisdom, sound health, strength, and many more years of impactful service to humanity, while congratulating her on the well-deserved recognition.
