ADAMAWA STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR INSPECTS FLOOD RAVAGED COMMUNITIES

Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has inspected flood ravaged communities in Yola-North and Yola- South local government following heavy downpour in the state
Farauta who visited Bachure, Kasuwan Katako, welcome to Yola half cloverleaf Flyover axis, Nyibango and other communities urged residents to desist from building on water ways to allow free flow of water.
She sympathised with the victims even as some houses and farmlands were submerged
The recent flood attributed to building on water ways, blockages of drainage systems had left many victims counting their losses.
She reitrated government commitment to providing necessary infrastructure to ensure safety and well-being of all citizens.
The Deputy Governor, accompanied by the commissioner of works Engineer Suleiman Abubakar and his counterpart from environment Sadiq Muhammad equally sympathised with the plight of the affected communities
Ngozi Thomos and Umar Badau affected by the flood assured that they would cooperate with government officials for their safety.
