Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has described entrepreneurship education as a strategic pathway to tackling poverty, creating employment and empowering citizens to become economically self-reliant.

Fintiri stated this on Friday at the Government House, Yola, while inaugurating the Chairman and members of the Governing Board of the Adamawa State College of Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Studies, Gulak.

The Governor said the college had an important role to play in equipping young people with practical skills, innovative ideas and entrepreneurial capacity needed to participate meaningfully in the modern economy.

He charged the newly inaugurated board to bring their experience, expertise and integrity to bear on the development of the institution, urging them to provide sound advice and formulate practical ideas that would strengthen the college and advance its mandate.

Fintiri said the board members were carefully selected based on their proven integrity and competence, expressing confidence that they would justify the trust placed in them by the government.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies and programmes aimed at reducing poverty, improving livelihoods and expanding opportunities for the people of Adamawa State.

Responding on behalf of the board, its Chairman, Chief Leonard Nzadon, thanked Governor Fintiri for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to justify the trust through dedicated service.

Nzadon commended the administration’s efforts to address poverty and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of citizens, urging the people of Adamawa to continue supporting the Governor’s development initiatives.
