ADAMAWA SET TO BECOME NIGERIA’S MEAT CAPITAL

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has secured investments from both Egyptian and Malaysian investors to establish a state-of-the-art abattoir in Adamawa. This facility will have the capacity to process 3,000 cattle daily, supplying meat to major cities such as Lagos, Ibadan, and Abuja. The project is expected to create thousands of jobs for butchers, cold chain operators, and other professionals in the industry. It will enhance Adamawa’s internally generated revenue, decreasing reliance on federal allocations. The abattoir will bolster livestock farming and agro-allied sectors within the state. By minimizing heavy truck traffic on highways, this initiative aims to enhance road safety and save lives. The facility will produce hygienic, export-ready meat, providing access to international markets. The establishment of the abattoir is anticipated to stimulate urban development and create business clusters around the area. This initiative reflects Governor Fintiri’s dedication to generating wealth and opportunities while leaving a lasting legacy for Adamawa
