ADAMAWA STATE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL APPROVALS UNDER THE LEADERSHIP OF GOVERNOR AHMADU UMARU FINTIRI ON WEDNESDAY, 21ST AUGUST 2024

The Adamawa State Executive Council, presided over by H.E. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the following projects:

1. Construction of 3 Mega Senior Science Secondary Schools
   Locations: Lamurde, Gulak, and Hong LGAs
   Cost: ₦17.1 billion
2. Expansion of Galadima Aminu Way and Construction of Underpass
   Location: Fire Service Roundabout, Yola (State Capital)
   Completion Period: 18 months
   Cost: ₦13.8 billion
3. Construction of 7.5km Road with Bridges
   Route: Mararraba Garta to Kamale in Michika LGA
   Completion Period: 18 months
   Cost: ₦4.3 billion
4. Construction of 14km Sukur Road
   Location: Madagali LGA
   Contractor: Rokat Construction Limited
   Work Duration: 12 months
   Cost: ₦2.5 billion
5. Provision of Electricity and Portable Water Supply
   Beneficiaries: 5,000 residents of Fintiri 1000 Housing Units, Malkohi, Yola South LGA
   Cost: ₦854 million for electricity, ₦832 million for water supply
6. Approval of Counterpart Fund for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
   Amount: ₦630 million
   Expected Funds: ₦1.2 billion for critical projects, including water supply

The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Jamesmawuri Iliya, announced these decisions during the press briefing following the council meeting.
