ADAMAWA STATE PLANNING COMMISSION HOLDS SEND-FORTH CEREMONY FOR DIRECTOR, WELCOMES NEW STAFF

The Adamawa State Planning Commission has honoured the Director of the Donor Support and Coordination Department, Hajjiya Farida Bukar Kiri, at a send-forth ceremony held in her honour while also officially welcoming newly deployed staff to the Commission.

The event brought together the Executive Chairman, Permanent Secretary, Directors, and members of staff to celebrate Hajjiya Farida’s years of dedicated service and formally receive the new employees into the Commission.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Executive Chairman, Permanent Secretary, and Directors paid glowing tributes to Hajjiya Farida Bukar Kiri, describing her as a committed, hardworking, and exemplary public servant whose contributions have strengthened the Commission’s donor coordination efforts and institutional development. They also encouraged the newly posted staff to uphold professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and dedication in the discharge of their duties.

A citation highlighting the achievements and outstanding service of the outgoing Director was presented by Patrick Yunana and Zubaida Bukar Kiri, after which members of staff presented gifts as a token of appreciation for her invaluable contributions to the Commission.

In her response, Hajjiya Farida Bukar Kiri expressed profound appreciation to the management and staff of the Commission for the support and cooperation she received throughout her tenure. She urged staff to remain committed to the Commission’s mandate and continue working together to advance the development aspirations of Adamawa State.

The programme also featured the formal reception of newly deployed staff, coordinated by Sule Abdu Iya, while Kpeshi Takoba delivered a briefing on the structure and functions of the various departments to acquaint the new employees with the Commission’s operations. A representative of the new staff expressed gratitude for the warm reception and pledged their commitment to contributing effectively to the Commission’s objectives.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, a closing prayer, a group photograph, and a reception attended by the management and staff of the Adamawa State Planning Commission.
