The emergence of Adamawa State as the 4th best-performing state in Nigeria in the 2025 State Performance Index (pSPI) is not only a remarkable achievement but also a powerful validation of the transformative leadership that has redefined governance in our state over the past seven years.
According to the report released by Phillips Consulting, Adamawa earned an impressive four-star rating, placing it ahead of many states with larger economies and greater historical advantages. This recognition was based on critical indicators such as infrastructure development, fiscal responsibility, service delivery, transparency, and citizens’ perception of government performance.
This milestone did not happen by chance. It is the product of deliberate policies, prudent management of public resources, and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people by the administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
From massive road construction and urban renewal projects to unprecedented investments in education, healthcare, agriculture, water supply, rural development, and security, the Fintiri administration has consistently demonstrated that governance is about improving lives and creating opportunities for future generations.
Today, the evidence is visible across the state. Communities once isolated by poor roads are now connected. Schools that had become shadows of themselves have been rebuilt and equipped. Healthcare facilities are being upgraded. Farmers are receiving greater support, while investments in infrastructure continue to stimulate economic growth and attract confidence in the state’s future.
What makes this achievement even more significant is that the ranking was largely based on objective and measurable indicators, including audited financial reports, infrastructure delivery, fiscal sustainability, and service outcomes. This confirms that Adamawa’s progress is not mere perception; it is backed by verifiable results.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri deserves commendation for his vision, courage, and dedication to building a modern and prosperous Adamawa State. His administration has proven that with transparency, discipline, and people-centered leadership, meaningful development is achievable.
While there is still more work to be done, this national recognition should inspire every Adamawa citizen to take pride in how far the state has come and to remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote progress and development.
Congratulations to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the government, and the good people of Adamawa State on this well-deserved recognition. The journey continues, but the results so far speak loudly: Adamawa is rising, and the nation is taking notice.
