Deputy Governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta has reaffirmed governments commitment to partner with organizations committed to improving the welfare and well-being of the citizens, particularly in the health sector.

The deputy Governor was speaking on Thursday when she received a delegation from the Christian Health Association of Nigeria CHAN on a courtesy visit.
Addressing the visitors professor Kaletapwa Farauta said government would sustain its collaboration with development and health partners whose activities translate into transforming the lives of citizens.
She admitted that missionary hospitals have continued to play a vital role in healthcare delivery, reiterating government’s support where necessary to ensure accessability and effective medical services.

The Deputy Governor explained that while the state government remains committed to providing quality healthcare services to citizens, partners often help bridge existing gaps, particularly in hard-to-reach communities.

Earlier, leader of the delegation, Dr. Suleiman Mshelia, said the association serves as the umbrella body for Christian and missionary hospitals across Nigeria, adding that part of their mandate includes; advocating for missionary hospitals, strengthening their capacity, and ensuring that their operations align with government standards and healthcare protocols.

He disclosed that the association was in Adamawa to recommission the Numan warehouse established in 1989, which had ceased operations due to organizational challenges.
Dr. Mshelia said the warehouse would now serve as a major hub and distribution centre for missionary hospitals across the region, the activities that has already begun.
The association lauded Governor Fintiri for its achievements in infrastructure and healthcare development, even as they advocated for financial support to enhance their activities in the state.
