Adamawa State Planning Commission In Collaboration With State UNFPA Office hosted a special dinner in honour of the delegation from Kwara State at the conclusion of their five-day study visit to Adamawa State, held in line with the 2026 work plan of the United Nations Population Fund.
The dinner served as a moment of reflection, appreciation, and celebration following the successful completion of the learning visit, which focused on knowledge exchange, institutional strengthening, and the sharing of best practices in the implementation of development and humanitarian programmes.
Speaking during the event, members of the Kwara State delegation expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission for the warm reception and exceptional hospitality extended to them throughout their stay in the state. The delegation noted that the visit provided valuable insights and practical experiences that would greatly support programme implementation and service delivery in Kwara State.
The team further commended the commitment of the Adamawa State Government and relevant stakeholders toward promoting effective coordination, planning, and sustainable development initiatives in collaboration with development partners.
The Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Planning Commission, while addressing the guests, reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to fostering inter-state collaboration, peer learning, and partnerships aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving the wellbeing of citizens.
The Chairman emphasized that the exchange visit reflects the shared vision of states and development partners under the UNFPA framework to enhance innovation, accountability, and effective programme delivery across Nigeria.
The five-day engagement featured interactive sessions, field visits, and strategic discussions with key officials and implementing partners, providing the Kwara State delegation with the opportunity to understudy successful models and initiatives being implemented in Adamawa State.
The event concluded with goodwill messages, exchange of appreciation, and renewed commitments to sustaining collaboration between both states in advancing development goals and strengthening institutional partnerships.
