ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES HER 10-YEAR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2026–2035).

Adamawa State Government has officially launched State’s Strategic Development Plan (ASDP) 2026–2035, being a comprehensive roadmap designed to drive sustainable growth, economic diversification, social inclusion, and infrastructural transformation across the state.

The launch ceremony, held at the Conference Hall of the Government House, Yola, marks a significant milestone in the state’s commitment to long-term development planning. The strategic document is expected to serve as the principal policy framework guiding planning, resource allocation, project implementation, and performance monitoring across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) from 2026 to 2035.

Speaking during the event, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa George Farauta, described the plan as a continuation and expansion of the achievements recorded under the Medium-Term Development Plan (2021–2025).

Governor Fintiri emphasized that the 10-year roadmap is more than a government policy document, describing it as “a People’s Plan” and a social contract between the government and the citizens of Adamawa State. He noted that despite the state’s abundant natural resources, vast agricultural potential, and resilient population, there remains a need to fully harness these assets to achieve greater prosperity.

The Governor acknowledged the remarkable progress made over the past seven years and stressed the importance of adopting evidence-based, long-term strategies to sustain development gains and improve the quality of life of citizens.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and called on development partners, international organizations, and stakeholders to provide technical and financial support towards the successful implementation of the plan.
