ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT ADDRESSES WATER CHALLENGES IN GUYUK LOCAL GOVERNMENT THROUGH CONSTRUCTION OF FIVE SOLAR- BOREHOLES

The ongoing construction of five solar-powered boreholes in Guyuk Local Government Area of Adamawa State has recorded significant progress.
According to a progress report from the project site, the boreholes, upon completion, will go a long way in addressing the water challenges experienced in the area. The report further revealed that the project will improve access to clean water and enhance public health within the benefiting communities.
Reports indicates that work on the solar panel support structures has reached 90 percent completion, while fabrication works for the solar installations are expected to be fully completed soon.
This development reflects the commitment of the Adamawa State Government to expanding access to sustainable water supply across the state, particularly in rural communities.
Members of the benefiting communities have expressed appreciation to the Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his continued investment in critical infrastructure and people-oriented projects. Commendation was also extended to the Commissioner for Water Resources, Hon. Audu Ayuba, for his dedication and efforts toward ensuring the successful implementation of water projects across the state.
The intervention is expected to improve the quality of life of residents by providing reliable access to clean and potable water, while supporting the government’s broader agenda of sustainable development and improved social services in Adamawa State.
