The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has directed the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to fully implement workers’ promotions along with all associated financial benefits before the end of May 2026. This directive was given during a visit by the Nigeria Labour Congress, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to the welfare and career progression of civil servants across the state.

This move is expected to boost morale within the workforce and strengthen productivity, as many workers who have been due for promotion will now receive both their deserved elevation and corresponding financial entitlements without further delay.

In response, the labour leaders expressed their appreciation to the Governor and assured him of their continued support for his administration. They also welcomed his assurance that his successor will be a worker-friendly Governor who will sustain and build upon policies that prioritize the wellbeing of civil servants in Adamawa State.
