GOVERNOR FINTIRI DISTRIBUTES TRACTORS TO ALL 21 LGAs TO BOOST AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has taken a significant step toward strengthening food security and rural livelihoods in Adamawa State, distributing tractors to all 21 Local Government Areas through their respective Council Chairmen.

The exercise, carried out under the administration’s broader agricultural development agenda, is designed to mechanise farming operations across the state and reduce the burden on smallholder farmers who continue to rely on manual methods.

Speaking on the initiative, beneficiaries described the gesture as both timely and impactful, noting that access to mechanised equipment will significantly ease land preparation, cut production costs, and improve overall crop yields in their communities.

The distribution underscores Governor Fintiri’s commitment to transforming Adamawa’s agricultural sector through modern, inclusive, and community-driven interventions — ensuring that no Local Government Area is left behind in the state’s drive toward enhanced food production and rural economic growth.

The Adamawa State Government continues to explore partnerships with development agencies and the private sector to sustain and scale up agricultural support programmes across the state
