President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has described major capital projects executed by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaruย  Fintiri as landmark developments thoughtfully designed to serve both present and future generations in line with global standards.

ย

The President stated this on Monday, February 16, 2026, during a one-day working visit to Adamawa State, where he commissioned a range of strategic projects undertaken by the Fintiri administration.

ย

It was a historic moment in Yola as Governor Fintiri hosted the President, who was in the state to inaugurate projects spanning education, road infrastructure, and the judiciary, underscoring the administrationโ€™s commitment to inclusive development.

ย

President Tinubuโ€™s first port of call was the commissioning of the Yola North Model Secondary School, one of several model schools constructed across the stateโ€™s 21 local government areas to raise educational standards and expand access to quality learning.

ย

He subsequently inaugurated the Bekaji Underpass, the expanded Galadima Aminu Way, the ultra-modern High Court Complex, and the newly constructed Governorโ€™s Office at the Government House, Yola.

ย

Speaking after the commissioning ceremonies, the President expressed appreciation to the government and people of Adamawa State for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. He commended Governor Fintiri for what he described as bold and visionary developmental strides, noting that the projects constitute enduring legacy investments capable of transforming the stateโ€™s socio-economic landscape.

ย

In his remarks, Governor Fintiri thanked the President for honouring the state with his visit and for the Federal Governmentโ€™s continued support. He disclosed that the construction of model secondary schools across the 21 local government areas cost over โ‚ฆ24 billion, while the Bekaji Underpass and the expansion of Galadima Aminu Way were executed at a cost exceeding โ‚ฆ15 billion, alongside other completed projects.

The Governor reaffirmed his administrationโ€™s unwavering commitment to sustained infrastructural development across Adamawa State and pledged continued support for the Tinubu-led Federal Government.

The event drew an array of distinguished personalities, including governors from the North-East, their Plateau State counterpart, and revered traditional rulers from across the state, marking the occasion as a significant milestone in Adamawaโ€™s development journey.
