Adamawa state Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has expressed satisfaction with the pace of work at the ongoing construction of Science and Technical Girls mega boarding secondary school Hong complex in Hong local government area of the state.
The deputy governor who was conducted on-the-spot inspection of the school by the consultant handling the project Sam Alara, community leaders and stakeholders, described the project as a major boost to public education infrastructure in Adamawa, noting that the visit was part of government efforts to ensure quality work is done.
Farauta, who toured the facility, assessed the level of completion and the quality of work done, expressing satisfaction with the pace of delivery.
She said the project is one of the flagship projects of the Governor Fintiri led government in the education sector, is expected to enhance learning conditions and expand access to quality education for residents of the area and its environs
“I must say, am satisfied with the level of work so far.
“We are hoping that, school session resumes by September, as the school is ready to bring in staff and students even today.
The deputy governor asked people of Hong to take ownership of the project to better the lots of the people
“The security of the school should not be left to government alone, it depend on traditional rulers, chairman of LGA and every sons and daughters from the community.
“Traditional rulers should ensure the school is used to rise younger generation to compete with others globally, not vandalized.
She lauded governor Fintiri for such visionary project and his gender inclusivity disposition.
The establishment of three science and technical girls’ mega boarding secondary schools, one in each of the senatorial zones of Adamawa is the testament of government’s commitment to that regard
