ADAMAWA STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES HER STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN (2026-2035).

The Adamawa State Government, through the Adamawa State Planning Commission (ASPC), is set to officially launch the Adamawa State 10-Year Strategic Development Plan (SSDP) 2026–2035 on Thursday, 11th June 2026. The launch ceremony will take place at the Government House Conference Hall, Yola, and will be presided over by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State.
The event will bring together high-level State dignitaries, heads and representatives of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) — whose technical and financial support was instrumental in developing the Plan.
The SSDP 2026–2035 is a comprehensive, evidence-based strategic document that will chart the direction of Adamawa State’s socio-economic development over the next decade. The Plan was developed through an extensive participatory process spanning all 21 Local Government Areas of the State, actively involving communities, civil society organisations, government institutions, the private sector, and development partners.
The Plan provides a coherent and integrated framework for investment, resource allocation, and sector-wide coordination across key development areas, including:
• Economic Growth and Livelihoods
• Education and Human Capital Development
• Health, Nutrition, and WASH
• Agriculture and Food Security
• Infrastructure and Urban Development
• Environment and Climate Change Resilience
• Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
• Governance, Transparency, and Accountability
The SSDP is designed to align with Nigeria’s national development agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), positioning Adamawa State as a model for inclusive and results-driven subnational planning.
